Purse Care Basics: How to Care for a Leather Purse
More often than not, when you buy yourself a leather purse, you are spending a great deal of money for it. Good leather purses are often rather expensive and if you do not know how to care for a leather purse, you may just find your investment deteriorating faster than you expected it to. - Exposing your leather bag to the sun is a huge no-no. Leather will fade, dry and crack if left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Store in a cool, shaded or dark and dry place when you need to store your leather purses.
- Another tip worth following when you are learning how to care for a leather purse is one that tells you not to hang your leather bag by its handles on a hook or a nail anywhere in your home. Always lay your bag on a flat surface when not in use to avoid the stretching and damaging of the leather handles as well as the deforming of the bag itself.
- One more tip that is worth mentioning when you want to keep your leather purse in the kind of shape you can be proud of is to have it taken care of professionally at least once every year.
